Joshua Lubwama is a Ugandan writer and software engineer. He is the winner of the 2025 Commonwealth Short Story Prize for the Africa Region. He was longlisted for the 2023 and 2024 Afritondo Short Story Prizes. His work appears or is forthcoming in Granta, A Long House, Afritondo, The Shallow Tales Review, and elsewhere.
