Daniel Naawenkangua Abukuri (he/him) is a Ghanaian poet and prose writer. A Best of the Net, Pushcart Prize, and BREW Poetry Award nominee, his work has appeared or is forthcoming in Chestnut Review, Transition Magazine, The Malahat Review, Consilience Journal, Brittle Paper, A Long House, Minyan Magazine, Poem Stellium, The Poetry Lighthouse, NENTA Literary Journal, and elsewhere. He is the first-place winner of the 2025 Wingless Dreamer Contest, a finalist for the 2025 Adinkra Poetry Prize, the fourth runner-up for the African Literary Prize, and the third-place winner of Poem Stellium’s Black History Month Poetry Competition.
