As our work and vision continues to grow, we need more and more help to grow our team from its currently very small size to a sizable but nimble group of people who can join us on our journey.

Here’s a list of positions we’re currently looking out for:

Translators

We are interested in translators working between the lingua franca of most African countries especially between English and the following languages: French, Portuguese, Arabic, Swahili.

Media Editors

The task of media editors will generally be to help in creating and editing videos, sounds, and images and other multimedia platforms and genres.

Researchers/Archivists

We have ongoing work/projects that require lots of research and looking through plus making archives. The task of the researcher/archivist will be to help find resources, materials, etc that will enrich the general vision of A Long House.

Copy Editors

Copy editors help us proofread and ensure that technical details concerning work to be published are in order. Copy editors might also help in fact-checking.

Design/layout

Design/layout volunteer collaborates with the team on basic text formatting and works with the editors to conceptualize future issues by A Long House. 

Web Managers

Web Managers will work closely with the team to keep the platform functional, carry out routine checks, maintain and update the website.
